Updates/You Tube

For some of you who don't know, I have You Tube site (http://www.youtube.com/thoughtfulcommitizen) and I recently posted a slideshow from the WOW retreat.

I've discovered that a lot of kids really love having pics from these events posted online. I've gotten a lot of requests for pictures and some have even linked to my site. It's a great marketing tool to promote the different activities we do for the youth group.

I'm on the rebound from a nasty cold, which I think I picked up when I came back to Tallahassee. I flew down to Miami last week for a few days, where it was 85 degrees and then a few hours later I landed in Tallahassee where it was 45 degrees and wet. Plus, being in a tin can of a plane, waiting after we landed for the ramp to make it to the plane (because at they only have one employee at the Tallahassee airport who can apparently knows how to operate it).

Anyway, I'll update again soon. Have a great weekend!

WOW 2007

I deserve a t-shirt that reads, "I survived WOW 2007 and still have all my hair!"

After a few hours of sleep and veins pumped with caffeine, I managed to make it through our annual youth group retreat.

It's something I do enjoy year after year, but part of me feels a little too old for this. I came home on Sunday afternoon and passed out for the rest of the night. I might've been tired, but it was a good tired.

Home Sweet Home? Maybe...

So, I've been shoppping around for a new home, and it sure ain't easy. I've seen more than my share of $*!!holes around town, including a run-down creepy lookin' one that overlooked the interstate.

Alas, I think I've found what I wanted. I've made an offer and now it's wait and see!

Some of the paint will change, but the cutest thing is that the play house will become Molly's new dog house!

Happy New Year!

Happy new year! It's already been regrettably unforgetable.

I'm not going to divulge much about the new year festivities, mostly because can't remember much, and what I do remember, I'm quickly trying to forget.

Anyway, the holidays went well. I was in New Orleans for Christmas with the whole family at my bro's house. It was the first time in a year that the five of us were all together. And how things go, it might be another year before it happens again!

Today was the inauguration for the new Cabinet. I went out to see it as it was literally a stone's throw from my office. It's cool to see democracy in action, even if you didn't necessarily vote for all the candidates. It was chilly, and I could only chuckle to think of all the south Floridians coming up to witness the event.... they probably thought they weren't even in Florida. I stood for as long as I could before I retreated back to the office and watched a bit more through the window in warm comfort.

Hopefully, I'll update again soon. Hope you're having a great one!
